Dana McDonald

“Hi my name is Dana. I have been involved with Montessori education since I was three years old. I enjoy working with children and seeing them learn. I have a special interest in working with children with additional learning needs and adapting the materials for them. In my spare time I enjoy studying, geocaching, and eating ice cream.”

Dana is a Montessori 0-3 and 3-6 trained teacher. She studied her Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Early Childhood at Victoria University of Wellington while also completing her Montessori 0-3 and 3-6 diplomas from the North American Montessori Centre. Dana has been working with children aged 2-6 in a Montessori environment since 2018. She has completed additional study in Inclusive Education, Educational Leadership and holds two Master of Education degrees, with one focused on Montessori education.

Sue Miao

“Hi my name is Sue. I have been teaching in Montessori classrooms since 2022. I love being part of the children’s learning journey, supporting them to grow and develop through hands-on, purposeful activities. I joined the team at South Wellington Montessori in 2024 and have enjoyed growing my knowledge of the Montessori method. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, going to the gym and spending time at home relaxing.”

Sue Miao holds a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education). Sue is soon to embark on her 3-6 Montessori training through the North American Montessori Centre.
